My fun, amazing, silly, faithful Beehives

Entire Beehive class at New Beginnings Feb 2012 with Advisors

As many of you know, my current calling in Church is to serve with the Young Women in our Ward; the Beehives (12 and 13 year olds) being my main responsibility.  To my great surprise, I enjoy it very much and have come to love these girls.  Yes, they drive me crazy at times and yes, there is much more drama than with the Cub Scouts but I so admire their courage to face the evil and temptations everyday at school. It is also wonderful to see their testimonies grow over two years.

They love to play Wii "Just Dance"

As we were recently preparing to go to Girls camp we had to hike 5 miles so I decided something different would be to walk from my house to the Houston Temple, which remarkably is a little over 5 miles. Imagine that!  HA!  It is no small coincidence we choose to live in North Houston: close to the Temple and Bush International Airport.
Setting off:

It was a great experience.  Many thanks to my wonderful Young Women's President Stacey for her support and as a great walking companion.
