Our journeys and adventures

Roy and I both grew up in the Redwood region on the Northern California Coast and will always be California kids at heart but since then been lucky (blessed) to have lived in four more states and several regions of this great country: Utah, Maine, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.
We love "The West" and have lived in, driven through, visited, explored, camped, hiked, rafted, backpacked through all of those wonderful states. We so enjoyed our year in New England where we were awed by the incredible Fall colors as well as learning what cold really is when our thermometer read " thirty degrees below zero" one February morning. We instantly fell in love with all the beautiful green of Wisconsin, having four definite seasons, relearned how to shovel snow and how long a Midwest winter can be.
A bit farther afield visits have been to:
London England
Stonehenge
Machu Picchu Peru
the big Island of Hawaii
Sidney Australia
Some of our more adventurous ventures have been:
backpacking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon from the North Rim
Hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney in California
Rafting 50 miles of the Colorado River
Through all our travels we have met and befriended many wonderful people which are always hard to leave when the times comes. Please know that we treasure our friendships with each and every one of you; may the Lord bless you all and please keep in touch.

I miss you. You are so busy and so lucky to do what you do and go and go. Next time you come back, make time to come to Fort Bragg, I'll be 85in September, I can't live forever. Lots of love across the miles. Denise
