We've been having a great time!

I'm sitting in the Qantas lounge at LAX as we prepare to leave for Brisbane in about an hour. The time has finally come! The flight will take almost 14 hours and we will arrive in the middle of winter but the average temperture is around 70*. Not too bad!
We've had a great 2.5 weeks visiting many friends in Utah and Sacramento. Many thanks to Karen in Bountiful, LaRee and Jannet in Sacramento for being wonderful hosts; great food, comfy beds and wonderful company for two "homeless" waifs. The Sacramento Valley had lots of smoke from the many fires burning in the Sierras the first couple of days; where was the blue sky? Thankfully that cleared up by last weekend.
Alex had a great time at EFY in Logan at USU and has been texting new friends almost non-stop since he left.
Many, many thanks to my sister Judy for agreeing to "cat-sit" Reba and Chloe. Sounds like they are already adapting well to their new home; playing chase in the house and jumping up on her bed for some petting.

How are you doing?? Did you survive the trip? Have you found a home? I can't wait to hear all about it!
