On Monday we drove a little over an hour north to the beach town of Noosa for Alex and Roy to take a surfing lesson. Roy reports he is glad is tried it but it's a young persons sport, not something you start when you're 54 years old - it's very physically demanding - both were very tired after the 2 hour lesson.
They came back to the beach to practice standing. Lot's easier said than done.
Here is the local beach lifeguard patrol. There were occassionally helicopters overhead watching for stray swimmers and sharks.
A 15 meter high fibreglass fruit that you can walk through as well as tour the nearby pineapple plantation.
