Love and laughter in Logan, Utah

Time has a way of marching forward and before I knew it, Roy had arrived home from Turkey and it was 21 November; time to leave for Utah, via Rexburg, Idaho. We drove my truck so as to be able to bring along Gus and Rio and deliver them to Alex.  Alex had only a day before rented a small house where he and Ashlee will live.  We were blessed to narrowly miss one big, snow storm that pushed through ahead of us and beat another storm behind us.  Made the drive in two looonnngg days.
Roy cannot be in Eastern Idaho, Wyoming or Utah without going fishing and he and Alex were so lucky with a beautiful sunny day on the Snake river in the Swan Valley.  What made it a great day?  The fish were biting of course!

The old married couple enjoyed dinner with the almost married couple before we left town to get down to Logan.

Let the festivities begin!  Mary, Stuart and the kids flew in on Monday and Becky and her kids joined us in Logan on Tuesday.
Had fun going roller skating - the kids discovered it isn't as easy as it looks - and the older "kids" couldn't remember the last time they had on skates.

We have been talking for a while about taking the kids bowling, so we finally did it. We laughed until we almost cried.

humble girl, lol

We were so blessed with good weather on the entire trip and were able to drive up Logan Canyon to the Bear Lake summit to let our Florida kids play in the snow. They had a very fun time but quickly learned that snow is wet and cold!

Not sure what's up with Isaak and where is Ellie's coat?

We played in the pool at the motel and at a nearby park.

Thank you Uncle Stuart, who took the kids to the pool every time.

how did everyone always end up on Meema and Grandpa's bed?

vacations are tiring!
 regaled Ashlee with family stories

Yes, Roy was there!  Not in many pictures because he was either the photographer or unfortunately wasn't feeling that great off and on all week.  Poor guy.

You may also be wondering, where in the heck is Gerald?  He had to teach and didn't arrive until Wednesday evening.
Also not too many pictures of this pretty little girl.  Three reasons.  She is two, was very grouchy and does NOT like having her picture taken.  We sure love her though!
See?
I'm not kidding
