Roy bounced back to 100% healthy really fast. Hallelujah! Which translates to "Praise ye the Lord". I'll say it again, we love modern medicine!
September brought us home to Fort Bragg, California, to celebrate my 40th class Reunion. It was a fun afternoon. Unfortunately we missed our good friends, Forest and Pat Tilley but were able to see Pat and Sharon Rowan and spend a few days in Sacramento.

We also enjoyed walking the new Coast Trail behind the old lumber mill.
The trail was only half done but once it is completed next year, one will be able to walk from MacKerricher State Park south to the Noyo River. I'm so pleased they restored the Pudding Creek tressel into a pedestrian bridge.
We took care of some family business and visited loved ones in the cemetery.
I went to Virginia in October to help while Becky attended a work conference.

This was an interesting visit to College Station. In 1981 Roy was accepted here to do a Ph.D. He were also accepted at UC Davis and we had a tough decision to make. We ultimately choose Davis and were privileged to work with Dr. Michael Barbour. No regrets.

| a well known favorite BBQ |
In mid October I was called as the Ponderosa Ward Young Women's President and my quiet life got very busy. Especially so since the YW were in charge of the upcoming Fall Festival/Halloween party.
We survived and the party was very successful. Record turn out (every bite of food was eaten). Hallelujah! (Praise ye the Lord!)
Not too busy though to enjoy the International Houston Quilt Show with some wonderful house guests!

Roy and I took a 4 day cruise to one port in Mexico, Progresso near Merida, in November and loved it. Very relaxing.

At the last minute we decided to spend Thanksgiving in Virginia with Becky & Gerald. It was a long drive but worth it. Gerald is an excellent cook!
