Summer 2015, July & August

I love to pack but hate to unpack so this is the drawback to our travels.
our shipment from Georgia arrived
Although we did have fun finally unpacking our rugs from Turkey and Georgia and deciding what to put where.

Chuck Pyle returned to Puffabellies in Old Town Spring and we couldn't pass that up!  He is such a nice guy, wonderful singer and song writer.

Mary and the kids came for a visit the end of July.  Grandpa surprised the Pitre's with tickets to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, where they had a great evening.

Grandpa is hilarious!

Katy wanted a sting-ray on her pillow

Alex and Ashlee came for a few days too.  Logan loved being with his cousins.

Of course we went to the Zoo.

it was a hot day so the splash pad was very welcome
Mary and the kids made me a German Chocolate cake for my birthday - YUM!

and we introduced Logan to Mary's favorite game, Hungry Hungry Hippos.  It was a little too noisy for him at first.

Mary, Zach, Katy and Grandpa (Grandpa flew back Sunday evening) drove to Orlando on Saturday August 8th and Gracie spent a few days with Grandpa and me in Houston.  She was a little nervous about being away from her family but she was very brave and we were super proud of her.

Gracie wanted a sewing lesson so she picked two fabrics to make a baby blanket for her new little sister coming this Fall.  After some instruction, she sewed the long straight seams and did a great job.
